"Very friendly and comfy. Good food and beer selection. We feel it's a fun, interesting place to dine. Very relaxed."

"What a treat on the North Shore whether you are budget-minded, travelling with the family or caught in the throes of wanderlust! Great grub and great prices at this fabulous laid-back joint. Breakfast and main menu feature simple, straightforward fare with a twist. Be sure to enjoy the ambiance, the photos of "The Sisters" and the bumperstickers on the barstools. Free your mind(and your belt), not your wallet!"

"Each year we return to Grand Marais to recharge our souls through the sights, sounds and sweet pleasures of the area. One of our non-negotiable stops is My Sister's Place - a delightfully eclectic eatery filled with sassy edged historic memorabilia. The menu is filled with delectable, no-nonsense pub food for people who know what they like. Not being a vegetarian but unable to resist a good portabello burger, I ordered my usual - The Fungi. It did not disappoint with it's grilled to perfection flavor and spicy horseradish sauce. The fries on the side were hot and finger lickin' good. Wash it all down with a cold beverage of choice and you are good to go for another scenic hike down the road. You know you've found a good place when the clientele is a spicy mix of locals and people on the move and the service is smooth, efficient and friendly. This place is a you betcha for sure."
