Husband and wife team, Paul and Cara Sporn, have owned and operated My Sister's Place Restaurant since 2005. Paul and Cara met in St. Cloud Minnesota while attending college at SCSU. After graduation the desire to be more adventurous moved them to the North Shore of Minnesota, an area they had always loved. The lure of being able to open their back door and enjoy the many outdoor activities they love: hiking, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, canoeing, camping, hunting and fishing, brought them to Grand Marais. After a few years of soul searching and the births of their two oldest children, Paul and Cara decided to buy My Sister's Place Restaurant, and fulfill their dream of owning a restaurant on the North Shore.

Paul and Cara live in Grand Marais with their three children Ethan, Ella, and Piper and their dog Sam.
